Academics

A college prep emphasis with Biblical integration in every course. Our Class of 2020 earned more than $146,000 in college scholarships on average. Our graduates feed into top private schools, state university honors programs and out-of-state public institutions. The V.I.N.E. Special Education program also allows for individualized instruction.

Arts

A nationally-recognized choir and award winning instrumental music, drama and visual arts program offers students a broad range of creative opportunities. Students produce exceptional work and share their gifts with thousands every year in productions, exhibits and performances.

Athletics

In 30+ years, Trojan athletic teams have won 76 state championships. We offer 19 AIA sanctioned interscholastic sports at our high school and multiple sports at the junior high. The inaugural recipient of the Arizona Director’s Cup Award and seven-time recipient of the Overall Excellence Award. In 2015, the athletic program was voted the Best Athletic Program in Arizona by USA Today.

Spiritual Life

In addition to every course being instructed from a distinctly Christian worldview, our students experience daily Bible classes and devotionals, weekly Chapels and small discipleship groups. Students drive our Chapels and are engaged with the planning and production each week.

Student Life

Students are involved in a wide range of extra-curricular opportunities through various clubs, activities and organizations. Opportunities for community include Homecoming Week, home games, school dances and assemblies, and Trojan Tournament.

Advanced Classes

Students can choose to enroll in AP or Dual Enrollment courses to earn college credit while attending the high school.

Calendar

Valley Christian follows a semester system with a 40 week school year and a rotating daily class schedule.

Graduation Requirements

Students who attend the high school all four years must accumulate a minimum of 28 credits.

The Results

Valley Christian students are prepared to attend college after high school. Over the last five years, 98% of our students attended college after graduating from Valley. Wherever our graduates end up, they are prepared to make a difference in the world.

Faculty and Staff

Our highly qualified teachers and staff are mature in their faith and mentor students in their spiritual and academic development. VCS faculty includes 34 full-time teachers with 62% holding advanced degrees. Our faculty averages more than 15 years of teaching experience. One out of four high school teachers have been at VCS for 10+ years. The student to teacher ratio for kindergarten is 12:1; grades 1-4 is 18:1; grades 5-6 is 21:1; jr. high is 21:1; and high school is 18:1.
