Dallas Nichols ’04 earned the award for Best Lighting Design for Non-Contracted Theatre for his work on Three Sisters at the annual ariZona Awards of Theatre Excellence.
As a lead projection technician and primary operator / programmer for operations, Dallas has worked on numerous shows and venues, including in Los Angeles at the Dolby Theatre (formerly the Kodak Theatre) for the Oscars and in Las Vegas for three Cirque du Soleil creations. He is currently back attending ASU and pursuing his Master of Fine Arts in Interdisciplinary Digital Media and Performance degree.
Dallas also earned a nomination for media design in the Artistic Specialization category for his work on Green Day’s American Idiot at the Tempe Center for the Arts.
Alumna Heidi Johnson ’13 earned a nomination for Best Actress in a Major Role for her performance in Me and My Girl at the Hale Theatre.
