Irvine22556 078yb1Valley Christian Co-Valedictorian Amelia Irvine ’15 will be heading off to school in Washington, D.C. next year at Georgetown University.  Amelia had her choice of top schools but chose Georgetown because of its superior academics, perfect location and diverse environment.

“I’m excited to work and study in our nation’s capital,” Amelia said.  “I plan to major in Government and to explore all the opportunities that God will certainly provide.”

During her Co-Valedictory address, Amelia commented on the impact Valley Christian has had on the lives of the Class of 2015. “The past four years have shaped us.  We’ve grown up in a truly special environment, Valley Christian High School.  I’ve often been told that Valley is nothing like the real world.  That’s true. But, I don’t think that’s our problem.  Valley shouldn’t look more like the real world; rather, maybe the real world should look more like Valley.  I’m talking about Valley’s commitment to build a community centered on Jesus.  Valley is a very special place because people here do their best to love like Jesus loves. I challenge you to bring that love with you into the world.”

We wish Amelia and all of our graduates the best as they enter the world, shining God’s truth and love while seeking to make it a better place.
