Trojan football coach Jeff Rutledge was recently featured in the East Valley Tribune for his connection to the Woodlawn movie.
“A film now showing across the Valley and the United States is particularly significant to one East Valley high school football coach,” Shelley Ridenour of the Tribune wrote. “If you didn’t know Rutledge’s back story before you met him, you’d never hear it from him. He’s certainly proud of his football career, but says it’s nowhere as important to him as his family or his faith.”
Coach Rutledge said in the interview, “The bottom line is you give it your best. Bring the talents you’ve been blessed with. God’s expecting our best efforts.”
