10904639_10206161481858795_7181788019350982997_oThis past weekend the Valley Christian High School rookie Trojan Robotics team competed in their first Qualifying Tournament for a chance to advance to the State Competition in Flagstaff in February. After a great morning, they entered the semifinals ranked third and were the captain of their alliance team.

The Trojan Robotics team ended up winning the tournament and qualifying for the state championships on February 20-21 in Flagstaff. The team currently holds the highest recorded score of all teams in Arizona for a match.

In addition to winning the tournament, the teams was presented with the Rockwell Collins Innovate Award for their unique design solutions.
