Biography
Maggie is an Arizona native and has lived in the East Valley the majority of her life. She graduated from GCU in 2016 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration. While looking for a job in that field, she started working as a substitute teacher. God led her to continue a career in Christian education!
Maggie attended Christian school growing up and believes that is where her firm foundation of faith began as well as her love of Fine Arts. She has a passion for Christian education and believes in Valley’s mission to equip students to be culture changers for Christ. She is excited to be a part of the Valley Christian family and to serve as the Fine Arts Coordinator, where she can help share God’s Word every day as well as her love of Fine Arts.
Maggie married her husband, Chris, in 2009, and he joined the Army the same year. During their time as a military family, Chris and Maggie lived in Sierra Vista, AZ and Leesville, LA. They have three amazing children: Zoey, Lily, and Elijah.
Some of Maggie’s favorite things to do are watching her girls play competitive soccer and supporting her son in Cub Scouts. As a family, they love to play board games and build Legos. Their favorite place to volunteer is Feed My Starving Children.
Prior to her time at VCS, Maggie worked at Gethsemane Christian Academy as the Kinder-Prep teacher. She loved working with that age group and learned so much from seeing the world through their eyes. She continues to stay involved in the children’s ministry at Gethsemane as a volunteer for Sunday school each month.
