Recently the students of Valley Christian wanted to help support and fight the contagious and highly infectious virus Ebola. Students teamed up with the Evangelical Free Church of West Africa and specifically Titus Davis, a local pastor in Monrovia, Liberia. Throughout the month of October students raised and gave away money in order to help fight Ebola. This was a great opportunity for the students to engage in an ongoing epidemic and practically help stop the death of thousands of West Africans. At the end of the month the student collectively raised $1500 that was sent to EFCA with the specific aim of helping Evangelical Free Church of West Africa.

Pastor Titus Davis had this to say about Valley Christian and the efforts of our students:

“Thank you and your students for reaching out to their western African brothers and sisters at these difficult times in human history of the deadly Ebola outbreak in West Africa. It is very touching to see students to deny themselves to help others. What a love of Christ demonstrated. This has also helped to grow the faith of school going children and ours. On behalf of the Evangelical Free Church of West Africa, please express our thanks and appreciations to the administration and student body of your school for the donation. Please let them know that their donation will be used to carry out Ebola awareness and preventive messages, disinfectants, food for children made orphans by the Ebola disease, quarantined families and those in Ebola treatment centers and hospitals. Thank you brother. We are very thankful and feel loved.”

Warmly in Christ,
Titus
