Valley Christian was named as the recipient of the Don F. Stone Overall Excellence Award (2A) for 2013-14. The award is presented annually by the Arizona Interscholastic Association (AIA) Executive Board for overall excellence in interscholastic competition and is determined by a point system.
It is the seventh-time that VCHS has received the Don F. Stone Award.
The 2013-14 school year was a banner year for the Trojans. Valley Christian athletic teams recorded eight Top-5 finishes at the state championships, including two state championships and two state runner-up finishes.
VCHS will be presented with the award by the AIA at the home football game on Friday, September 26 at 7:00pm.
