Trojan Madness 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament

The Trojan Madness 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament will be held at Valley Christian High School on March 29-30, 2019. This tournament is open to the entire East Valley, including VCHS alumni, adults, middle-school, community members, and guests. The tournament promotes the spirit of competition and Valley Christian as a fixture in this community.

There will be 7 divisions of four-person teams competing: Men’s Divisions; JV (6th-10th grade), Varsity (9th-12th grade), Adult Recreational, Adult Competitive, Adult Elite (ages 18+) and CO-ED Divisions; Under 18 years old and Adult (ages 18+) . Other divisions may be formed based on interest. Please submit interest in an email to Karyn Mueller at kmueller@valleychristianaz.org. All teams are guaranteed to play a minimum of three games with the possibility of additional games to become the court champion!

Games will be 20 minutes long or finish when the winning team scores 20 points, whichever comes first. A player may only register as a member of one team within a division.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO PLAY?
Team registration fees are as follows:

$100 Elite Division Teams
$80 All Other Divisions

Team registration fees are non-refundable.

WHEN IS THE DEADLINE FOR TEAM REGISTRATION?
All teams must register by March 22, 2019 in order to secure a spot in your preferred division. After the initial deadline, the Trojan 3 on 3 will only accept registrations if space is available in the requesting division up until the final cut off deadline on March 25, 2019.

HOW DO I KNOW MY TEAM IS REGISTERED CORRECTLY?
The payment process must be completed in order for the team registration to be submitted and processed correctly. After you have successfully completed the payment step, you will receive a receipt via email to the email address provided during the registration process. 

IS IT REQUIRED FOR ALL TEAM MEMBERS TO BE THE SAME AGE AND/OR GRADE LEVEL?
It is preferred, but not required, that all team members are of the same age/grade level. Please be aware that teams consisting of players of multiple ages will have their ages averaged; for example, a men’s team with a 26 year-old and three 33 year-olds will be considered 31 years old for tournament purposes. All youth and high school teams will be bracketed by grade level based on the oldest player’s grade level.

AM I ALLOWED TO PLAY ON MULTIPLE TEAMS?
Players may be on more than one team; however, they can only play on one team per division. Please be aware we cannot guarantee against scheduling conflicts in game start times. Bracket schedules will not be adjusted for teams that lack players due to multiple team participation; please plan accordingly.

HOW TALL WILL THE HOOP BE FOR THE YOUTH DIVISIONS?
All courts will be equipped with a 10’ hoop. There are no modifications to hoop height.

CAN I BE A SPONSOR FOR THE EVENT?
Yes! There are two sponsorship opportunities:

EVENT SPONSOR (MAX 2): $1,500
• Included in each mention of the event
• Sponsorship banners at each location
• Large print on tournament t-shirt
• Included on all day-of printed materials
• Includes one complimentary team entry in division of choice

COURT SPONSOR (MAX 10): $500
• Sponsorship banner at sponsored court
• Printed on tournament t-shirt
• Included on all day-of printed materials
• Includes one complimentary team entry in division of choice

It is necessary for your team to familiarize yourself with the rules of the Trojan 3 on 3, as these tournament rules may vary from the traditional/organized rules you may be used to.
