Meet Our Faculty and Staff
Departments and Positions
Timothy Pitts hails from the great city/state of Cincinnati, Ohio. He is a third born of five children (third time’s the charm) to his parents. All of his siblings are teachers in some form or fashion. Of all his siblings Timothy is considered to be the loudest (not sure if that’s entirely false).
Timothy is a proud graduate of Cincinnati Christian High School. From there he continued his education at Indiana Wesleyan, graduating with a degree in psychology. Timothy would later return to school to pursue a Master’s in Divinity with focus on Christian Education at Wesley Biblical Seminary in Jackson, MS.
Prior to Timothy’s pursuit of his M.Div., he completed a year internship with Focus on the Family. He also worked in an orphanage as both as a counselor and a special education teacher for several years.
While pursuing his Master’s in Jackson, MS, Timothy interned as a co-youth pastor and after graduation was put on staff as the hospitality/ homeless ministry pastor between 2008-2014.
In 2014, after six years of committed service to his church in Jackson, Timothy decided to move to Phoenix to further his career in education. He would find employment at Bethany Christian School working in their Science/ Biblical Studies department for two years before joining the Valley Christian family.
When Timothy is not teaching, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching sports (rooting for the Ohio State Buckeyes and Cincinnati Bengals), reading a good novel or comic book, and eating at some of the finest Mexican restaurants the valley can provide.
What excites Timothy Pitts the most is teaching others about our Heavenly Father. Timothy understands that we can’t live a fulfilled life without knowing the vary one who gives it! Timothy is excited to be able to live this fulfilled life with his VCHS family.
