Q. How long has Valley Christian been in the East Valley?
A. VCHS was founded in 1981 and opened its doors in 1982.
Q. What grades are offered at VCHS?
A. Valley Christian offers classes to students in grades nine through twelve.
Q. What is the tuition cost?
A. Please refer to the “Tuition and Fees” page, which contains the current tuition cost and other fees. Tuition payments can be made yearly, twice a year, or on an eleven-month payment plan. We offer need-based financial aid for those who qualify.
Q. Does VCHS offer financial assistance?
A. VCHS offers need-based financial aid to families who qualify. The student must have applied for enrollment to be eligible. Financial aid applications must be sent in by mid-February for consideration of financial aid. We also offer discounts to students with parents who are schoolteachers at local Christian elementary and secondary schools. Aid will be based on need and the availability of financial aid funds. Q. What is the enrollment?
A. VCHS has 75 – 115 students in each grade. We are members of the Arizona Interscholastic Association. Our current enrollment is approximately 370 students.
Q. What is the student/teacher ratio?
A. VCHS has a student to faculty ratio of 12 to 1.
Q. Do students have to wear uniforms?
A. No, our students do not have to wear uniforms. VCHS has a dress code which is outlined in the student handbook. The clothing our students wear on campus is required to be modest and neat and consistent with our dress code.
Q. Does VCHS have a bus service?
A. No, we will provide a zip code list upon request for parents to review and utilize to form carpools.
Q. Is VCHS a closed campus during lunch?
A. Freshmen, sophomores, and juniors may not leave campus during lunch. Seniors are allowed (with parental consent) to go off-campus for lunch everyday except Wednesday.
Q. Does VCHS require an entrance exam before a new student may be accepted?
A. No, there are no special testing requirements. Incoming freshmen are given placement tests before schedules are completed in order to place them in appropriate classes. We also review standardized test scores.
Q. Do all students take Bible classes?
A. Yes. Bible classes are required for every student in all grade levels. Biblical principles are integrated into our entire curriculum. All students also attend chapel once a week on Wednesday mornings.
Q. Is VCHS affiliated with a specific church?
A. No. We are non-denominational. Our current families come from over eighty different churches.
Q. What percentage of VCHS graduates go on to higher education?
A. Over the past five years, 97% of our students go on to higher education. VCHS students have historically enrolled in a wide variety of outstanding public and Christian colleges.

Q. Where can new applications be submitted?
A. New student applications can either be completed online or submitted to the registrar in the school office.
