What did you do after Valley? Where did your life take you?

After graduating Valley, I attended ASU and graduated with a degree in marketing. After a few different career stops, I started my own business, Desert Fitness, in 2010. Desert Fitness is a full service fitness center with two locations in Gilbert, AZ. We currently employ over 100 people and have over 5,000 members between the two locations. Outside of business, I also married my amazing wife Vanessa and have two great kids (Connor – age 4 and Kendall – age 2).

Tell us a little about your daily work:
My daily work mostly involves the oversight of my business and the overall marketing and sales strategy of the company.

What’s one surprising thing we don’t know about you?
While most of my adult life has been spent focusing on business, I have a great passion for music. I even have played in a few bands throughout the years after High School.

While you were at VCHS, which teachers, coaches or classmates had the biggest impact on you?

Many teachers and coaches had a great impact on my life while I was at Valley and it is hard to name just one. I am very thankful for the opportunities I had through Valley.

How do you stay connected with your friends from Valley and VCHS?
I still am connected with a few of my good friends from Valley. There are several that actually work with me everyday through my business.

What’s one lasting memory you have of VCHS?
Playing on the baseball team is definitely one of my favorite memories. Many great experiences that still have helped me to this day.

Do you have any advice for current students?
Don’t be afraid to take risks when it comes to following your goals and dreams. Sometimes in life the safest route is the least fulfilling.
