Recently, our American Sign Language (ASL) students visited the Apache ASL Trails Senior Center to have brunch with deaf senior citizens there. The students also presented over 60 shoe boxes filled with toiletries to the center. This was a wonderful opportunity for the students to practice ASL and share their faith.

Our students had some wonderful things to say about the trip:

“This experience was truly incredible! The Seniors were all so kind, funny and accepting. What a blessing to have this opportunity.” – Macy Anglin ’21

“It’s amazing how different people with different languages still demonstrate the image of God. It was fantastic!” – Dominic Flowers ’21

“They were so sweet and it was so cool seeing how excited they were to see and sign with us.” – Brenna Hungerford ’21

“I was able to share/sign who I was, why I was a Christian and why I go to Valley, it was fun listening to all their stories.” – Kaitlyn Cochran ’21
