Students will partner with Chrobry High School in Pszczyna, Poland. Students will spend a few days shadowing students at the high school to experience life as a Polish student. Students will also spend several days visiting sights of historical significance. n see what a day in the life of a Polish student feels like. Finally, students will spend a few days partnering with the local evangelical community for service (details to come).
Who is this ENGAGE experience for?
Spiritually mature students who are capable and comfortable sharing their faith with their host family in Poland. Also, a student/family who can host a Polish family during the first couple of weeks in December. Students who are intrigued by history, culture, people, and want to serve a community through practicing English with English language learners.
What will team members do?
Valley Christian is partnering with Chrobry Liceum School in Pszczyna, Poland and doing a cultural exchange. This trip will take place after the school year at the beginning of June and last for two weeks. Students will be paired with a high school student at Chrobry and spend a few days in classes at Chrobry. They will help put on a charity concert event to raise funds for a Children’s Hospital for disabled children in Pszczyna. Students will have a guided tour of two of the Auschwitz concentration camps. They will participate in some cultural and historical events during the stay. They will also partner with the local Protestant church in Pszczyna to help with Bible study classes and Sunday service. Lastly, this trip would include you and your family hosting a Polish student this December as a part of our exchange. This trip is available for 12-16 students.
